We understand that it’s unfortunate when bookings are canceled. There can be various reasons for this. For example, parents may no longer need a babysitter, or it could be that they or the children are sick.
- If the parent cancels more than 24 hours in advance, you will not receive any compensation for the canceled booking.
- If a booking is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, you will be paid for 1 hour by the parent.
- If the booking is canceled within 3 hours of the scheduled start time, you will be paid for 2 hours by the parent.
EXCEPTION TO THE ABOVE:
Up to 30 minutes after acceptance, the parent can cancel the booking free of charge, unless the booking starts within 3 hours. This is because you, as the babysitter, have not yet made specific preparations or cleared your schedule for the booking. As a result, you are not negatively impacted by the cancellation in this short window.
